The Gateway Kids School of Computing has a
group of courses in Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) that enable children to develop computing skills to be
confident ICT users from an early age.
A British curriculum that leads
to more qualifications than any other children's ICT
programme available in the world.
Entry at any Tier of the
Programme(except at tier 6 and 9), suitable to their
age and experience.
All courses taught and assessed
in English.
One state of the art computer per
child - No sharing.
Access to special IT equipment;
Floor Robots (pixie, pip etc.) Data Loggers,
Computer Control units, digital cameras, scanners
and colour printers. Individual attention by a
qualified lecturer for every child.
Development of skills in the
latest application packages, Internet and email.
Systematic development of
programming skills.
Lessons in other subjects using
educational software from Britain.
Enables students to obtain top
grades in Computer Studies/ICT at OL's/GCSE's.

Qualifications
Students receive Level certificates,
validated by NCC Education, UK
on successful completion of every level. Students have a
choice of receiving certification from the International
Curriculum and Assessment Agency (ICAA)
or the University Of Cambridge International
Examinations or both at the successful completion of
certain selected Levels.
Students who complete Tier 8 & 9 have the knowledge and
skills to achieve the International Computer Driving
License (ICDL) Qualification awarded by
the ECDL Foundation.
Key Stage 4 courses coach students for public
examinations such as Edexcel OL Computing, Edexcel GCSE
ICT, Cambridge OL/GCSE Computer Studies and Cambridge
GCSE ICT.

All course books of Gateway are endorsed by Edexcel, UK,
the organization responsible for London OL and AL
examination, as ideal preparatory material that should
provide everything students need to succeed at GCSE or
OL Computer Studies and/or ICT.
Gateway's programme of study is also endorsed by the
London Metropolitan University as a programme that
builds foundations for the futures of young people.
Assessment
The Foundation level is assessed
100% by coursework
All other courses are assessed by
50% continuous coursework and 50% paper-based tests.
Key stage 4 assessments follow
the same formats as that of the particular
examination board

Study
Students wanting to further their
knowledge of IT also have the option of going on to the
NCC Education Degree Pathway - an affordable way of
getting an internationally recognized qualification.
